I have removed Linpus and trying to install from USB
Seesm to work OK up to the reboot from XP - just before it starts oing the grphical interface install
    Says:

"Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem.
Could not read from the selected Boot Disk.
Check boot path and disk hardware.
Please check the Windows documentation about hardware disk configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional information."

This installation is using a bootable USB which seems to work OK. Blue screen Windows XP seems to install - removed partitions and created a new one.
Only thing is I am using my XP SP3 disks and seems to ONLY allow NTSC (quick format) and NTSC full format and not FAT32 ??

I have done this loads of times and comes up woth the same error ??

Any help much appreciated - as no OS on Acer now :-(

    (BIOS 3301 and 160GB Hd)

That's normal for some reasons - had the same. Changed NTFS to FAT32 with Partition Magic after full installation...

After copying all files from USB my AA1 reboots properly from internal HDD as installation medium wasn't longer required. Where actually you changed boot order - in BIOS or via F12??

I'm not convinced changing anything in BOOT menu in BIOS is a good idea as system changes this permanently - means every time when bootable USB is detected AA1 runs out of this medium... F12 seems to give only temporary change - this one looks like better solution for install... Try this then...

I tried another method and that didn't work either - using the "Universal" application

Using my Dell Iso file SP3 and it doesn't even get to the format HD screen but gives me a blue screen !!

Any other methods people have used to add XP ?

    :(
