I know this is probably a daft question, and I've spotted similar questions relating to XUbuntu, but I don't want to tinker until I'm sure of what I'm doing.

When using NBR, some windows (for example, the hard drive properties window, or some windows during the upgrade process) are way to long to fit on the notebook screen. Is there any way to change these so that you can at least see the bottom of the window where the proceed or cancel buttons live? The upgrade from version 9 was entertaining as I had to randomly try buttons on the keyboard to get the upgrade to start ;) so any help would be excellent, thanks.

Don't forget that you can push and hold the alt key, then left mouse click a window to move it round the screen....
