I was pretty seasoned back in the Windows NT 4.0 & 95/98 days, but haven't kept up with XP forward. LOL

Anyway, I got the eMachines eM250-1162 today at Walmart for $228 & found out it's basically a rebadged Acer Aspire One D250. Came with Windows 7 Starter & I'm trying to figure how about doing a back-up or recovery disks without any mass storage add-ons(no external drives & biggest SD card I have is 2gb). I went through all the trouble to set up the wireless network between it & my XP machine & then found out I can't use Windows Backup to backup to anything on a network unless it's Windows 7 Professional, Ultimate or Enterprise. Fun. I then checked the eMachines(Acer) Recovery Management and it only offers a external CD or DVD writer as a destination. So I guess D2D Recovery is my only option if eMachines doesn't offer free disks(can't seem to find anything in a manual about it)? Any caveats using this versus burning disks?
