Just got a D150 model, can't get Windows 7 to recognize the Realtek Ethernet driver (cabled LAN, not wireless)...ideas?

The atheros driver in windows update works flawlessly. Better than the 7.6.1.194.

    Hiall,

I just installed Win7 on my aspire One and love it so far. I am having a problem with large file transfers over a network. When my AA1 had XP file transfer worked flawlessly. Ever since updatingto W7 I can't transfer a large file (few hundred mb). Any ideas? I have the latest driver from windows update and as I said the card worked fine under Win XP.

    Cheers

I am sorry if this has already been answered, but I don't see it. Is there a place with all the current drivers needed for Windows 7? I found several pages with out of date links and / or incomplete lists.

Also are any BIOS updates needed?

    Thank you.

Am I missing something? For the life of me I can't figure out how to install these... no matter what avenue I take windows 7 always tells me that it already has up to date drivers installed!

Isn't your W7 driver newer? Mine is a few weeks old, installed by Windows Update. You cannot do better than that, but the problem with WiFi dropping over copying large files is still there.

Yes, I was able to update it through windows update... It now seems to drop less pings, but streaming music to my airport express is enough to DRIVE ME UP THE F***ING WALL with a 2 second pause in every song.

I might just have to bite the bullet and change the mini PCIe card.

    Hey guys,
I have tried every single wifi driver mentioned on here and I cannot get it to transfer a large file over the network at all. I have the Power save feature to off, and turned off the Remote Differential Compression. Help!

I'm trying to install Windows 7 but during the installation process in doesn't find the driver to the SATA AHCI drive so I don't see a drive to install to. Anyone know where I can get the driver or how to get around this? Thanks.

I needed a driver to complete a backup over network in win7 7100, been trying for a couple of days messing with settings/my firewall etc, finally decided to try and find a new driver on here. Found this post:

    viewtopic.php?f=34&t=17900

downloaded the win7 atheros driver v.8.0.0.225 fro the samsung site = first time successfull transfer of 8.5gb backup image over my network, wifi was fully utilised for about 1hr35mins. these drivers are definitely keepers for me.

Props to the original poster Rich in ILM.

I guess the obvious question is: Is Acer going to release Win7 drivers for the AOD250? I really don't need the hassle, but would like to upgrade!
