Hi, I have the 8GB SSD aspire one with the ram upgraded to 1.5GB I've installed windows 7 (damn doesn't give you much free space after huh? lol) and have disabled paging. I've also gone to the Performance Options dialog and Selected "Adjust for best performance" thereby turning off aero and all that gubbins. Even with all the interface goodness turned off it still seems to be causing the cooling fan to come on a lot more than xp did. It seems to be on almost all the time and occasionally has been louder than i've ever heard it. Anyone else found the same thing with win7? It's a shame because I'm actually finding it a lot faster than XP, it doesn't seem to lock up when the SSD is in use like xp did.
