windows only recognizes 1gb ram

    okay, I'm feeling stupid b/c I think I'm overlooking something simple. It's running vista and has a 2 gb stick. I switched it with another "good" 2gb stick and the computer still only sees 1 gb. What's going on?

    What type of memory are you using? Where did you but it from? Also when you go into the bios how much ram does it recognize?
