BTW none worked I tried buying one from walmart and swaping the XP out for my linux netbook but I got caught :(
So now I have no choice but to try and install XP. I still get the BSOD.
    Tried installing of USB
    Tried installing off CD
Tried Acers unofficial XP restore disk from this site
Tried a light version of windoes XP

NONE of them worked all of them I get a BSOD after it loads the initial set of srivers. It says set up is loading....

    Then i get the BSOD!

HELP Should I use a certain service pack.?

Im getting a Stop: 0x0000007B Error!!!
This areas happens right after setup files load. I dont even get to windows setup.

Is the windows set up not recognizing the SSD drive?
Is there a driver I have to download somewhere and press "f6" to install a SDD driver?
Im using service pack 3 and installing off a USB Drive.

Hi there I just bought my AAO 3 days ago and had spent last 2 days installing wins xp with the same BSOD prob when installing using usb drive. Spent 2 days using diff type of usb drives incl usb sd card readers, actual size xp home and prof, nlite xp, mini xp, but to no prevail. Till I borrowed another OEM xp home cd from another friend, nlite it, tala no more BSOD and it install smoothly. So, the main culprit of the BSOD during installation is most prob the XP CD or source u used, not the usb drive or drivers issue. So just give it a try by using another XP CD either nlite it or use the actual version, shd be able to work.

it will be the actual windows xp source that is causing the problem
full version of winxp pro sp3 works fine.

An MSDN XP Home SP2 CD works for me from a USB-attached CDROM. As does an nLite'd version with SP3 slipstreamed in.
