Windows XP Disk

    I bought a acer one with Linpus... can I purchase a windows XP install CD for it? Any links?

    Depending on what size SSD (solid state drive) your Acer has in it, you may be able to partition the drive and install any version of Windows on it and then configure to "dual boot" using either OS. If you choose to just install XP without the partition, it will reformat the drive completely and you will lose the Acer eRecovery section that puts your rig back to factory specs. You will also have to reinstall all of the Acer drivers that allow your machine to run. Search these forums and you will find the answers you seek from more knowledgeable people than myself. Recovery disks are available from Acer for $20 plus $10 shipping. Search these forums and you can find links to make your own recovery disks.
