    Thank you for the upload.

    Quick question:

Happened to see the "real discs" after the download, found that they are not exactly the same. The system discs differ more, the image files differ a little. Just an updated version?

Might be a newer version, I noticed that the restore I got here didn't have IE7 installed by default (Don't care as I use FF).

u can try this way to recovery Acer One without DVD drive external
    U will prepare : 1. 2 disc recovery in post #1 ( sure :) )
    2. one laptop or desktop with DVD drive and Ghost file backup ( call COM1)
    3. Hiren's Boot CD or any disc with Norton Ghost
    4. Acer One u want to recovery (call COM2)
    5. Hiren's Boot USB stick ( u can google how to create it. easy )
    Process:
    1. open COM1 , insert recovery disc1 to DVD drive
    2. boot from disc : u will see dialog " insert recovery disc 2 ". Follow it. Then u press OK ( parttion C:\ on COM1 u're using will be formatted ). Recovery process will begin. waiting for finish process while u relax ( ~30min). A dialog appear tell u insert recovery disc 1.Follow it
    3. When this process finished , appear dialog " press OK to restart ". Don't hurry. Eject recovery disc 1. Insert Hiren's Boot CD. Press OK.COM1 will restart
    4. Boot from Hiren's Boot CD.Select Norton Ghost. You will backup partition C:\ (this partition is Acer One's XP Home original ). save Ghost file u create in other partition ( or any place u like )
    5. Restore COM1 with Ghost file backup before ( not Ghost file u create in step4 )
    6. After restore , u enter Windows on COM1. Copy Ghost file u create in step 4 to COM2 ( Acer One u want recovery )( Copy to partition D ,E... but not C:\ )
    7. Restart COM2. Boot with USB stick.Select Norton Ghost and restore Acer One with Ghost file u just copy. Wait for complete. Restart and yeah : u have original XP Home

This way is easy for newbie and person not DVD drive external. This way is long but useful. Hope u like it
( Sorry for my bad English. I'm not good at English in school :) )
