Just a very quick one really, as ive searched but keep getting confused (most guides talk about bootable USB sticks).

I currently have a Acer Aspire One A150-Aw Netbook, Linpus Linux Lite version, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 120GB HD.

After 2 years of using it, i am finally fed up with Linux and simply want to put Windows XP on it.

As i have a external DVD drive, can i simply insert the Windows XP disc and let it do its thing, just like when i do an install on a normal Windows computer, or will i need to follow a specific route as its Linux?!

You don't like it? You know where the door is.

Yes it is as simple as attaching a USB DVD-RW and installing Windows XP, however you will probably have issues in the future if you wish to restore to factory defaults, so you may want to make a complete system backup first.
