Yes, it's very much possible. I purchased the 512mb/120gb linux model, and added extra ram and put nlited xp on - works fine. Works out cheaper than buying the xp models also.

    I got a linpus/ 120go/512Mo and now it's working with xpsp3 .
Not too fast but enough for me ;)
    I think I'll put an extra 1go

installation is easy , just use drivers coming from MSI if you've any problem of installation with Acer drivers(there is a good topic on this ... and FAT32 , no NFS  (very slow))

No issues with XP SP3 on Linux 120GB model here. Do get the drivers for XP (you can find the link on this forum to official XP drivers). Performance is ok with 512MB, better with more (obviously).

I added 1GB (total 1.5) and swapped hard disks with Seagate 320GB. Works great.

Another vouch for XPSP3 on the AA1 (1.5Gb RAM). Runs like a little champ.

How do you guys install XP on the Linpus model? Are you guys dual booting? Also, do you know how to install XP onto an external hard drive?

Installation of xp was from an external usb cd (I bought a second hand Cdwriter and I used power/connections of my external usb hard disk ;) ).
No dual booting, I'm waiting for a good kit adapted to AAO because I know nothing about unix
