i recently brought a 2nd hand acer aspire one d250-0br
unfortunately the seller installed a windows 7 starter operating system in the netbook
i tried using alt+f10 but it doesnt work
i tried switching to the sata mode to ide but still no luck only gives me BSOD
i tried disk management and it shows that a healthy hidden partition is still intact
so how do i recover it back to xp? any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you sure that the BIOS setting for D2D is enabled?
That is not uncommon in my experience as long as it won't fall out.

I am having a hard time getting mine recovered as well. My biggest issue is that i do not have an external dvd drive to use with he recovery disks. Any suggestions ?

I'm not trying to be a smart-ss or anything but make it easy on your self and get an external CD/DVD burner. Windows does not play well with things like USB sticks even though some people have gotten them to work.
