winXP..faster boot time!!

    when i type in msconfig

    can anyone advise what programs i can uncheck so that winXP can load less programs at start up so there can be a faster boot time?

    there's a bunch of programs that are checked and i wonder which ones are not absolutely necessary.

    Sorry for my brevity. It is whatever is defaulted on there by Acer.

    RTHDCPL
    ALCMTR
    AzMIxerSel
    SynTPEnh
    IMJPMIG
    IMSCiNST
    TINTSETP
    Rundll32

    you can pretty much remove them all. The first 3 are for Intel vga, just stuff so you can access it quicker. the next is for the sound card tray applet. The next after that is related to the sound card so you can just remove it as well.
    Syntpenh is for your touchpad, i recommend you keep that.
    imjpgig and imsinst are input editor items, you can remove those.
    tintsetp same thing
    rundll32 i would leave.
