wireless conection doesnt work

    hello friends i have a new acer aspire one 8'9 " windows xp 1 Gb 160 GB HD i have tried to connect it to internet and i could but after some time the acer stats to get slow and sometimes i cant open sites but it looks like i was connected to internet.. i dont know my BIOS version and either WLAN version because i dont know anything about computers.. i bought this computer because i want to have a small machine with wifi conection... please anyone can help me i need to setup my computer to connect it to internet without have problems.. where can i find the BIOS and the other information in my computer? thnk u
