Help! I just purchased two acer aspire ones for my kids for Christmas. I am trying to connect them to the internet wirelessly. The wireless card says enabled, but when searching for a network both laptops say no wireless networks found in range. Right now I am typing this on my Toshiba laptop via wifi. I have a linksys router if that helps.

Sounds like your router has had it's "broadcast SSID" disabled. Your older computer would connect as the ssid is known.
First try rebooting the router if that doesn't work go into the router and check ssid boradcast setting.

Thank You! That solved the problem, I changed the browser setting to broadcast the ssid and now we are connected!
