The first Aspire One I purchased was defective, so I had to return it and now on my second Aspire One. I'm getting frustrated with it now because I can hardly everrr connect to the Internet. It's too late for me to return it, I've already tried.

It lets me connect to whichever wireless router I am located around, whether it be at home, on campus, etc. It will have a high strength and say "Excellent" and usually will open the "Google" website. If I try to go to any other site or try to Google anything, it ALWAYS says NETWORK TIMED OUT, or PAGE LOAD ERROR, or something else along these lines. When on my regular laptop, internet works fine, and everyone's around me works fine. Help me figure out this computer's internet problem! It's making me regret this purchase :(

    Thanks!

Okay.. ive had alot of experience with xp being deffective with the interent via wireless on various pcs... what you can try is openning command prompt and pinging the wireless router at your house and see if you get a proper reply if all goes well then you know it is your laptop.. Try going to command prompt again and type 72.14.207.99 this is googles ipadress so your bypassing going into explorer to see if it connects and your also bypassing all the Gui that goes with it.

Report Back to me and tell me if it pings successfully.! Gd Luck!
