I just got an aspire on 8.9 with Xp. yesterday i used the microsoft file and setting transfer wizzard to transfer my old files from my old desktop to my aspire. the wireless worked fine before i ran the wizzard but now not so much. i can connect to the wireless network but when i open internet explorer it says internet explorer can not display web page. I did hook it up to the network using ethernet cable and it the internet worked fine but when it uses the wireless it doesnt work even thought it says its connected to the network. any suggestions?

Download the latest wireless driver and install it:

    http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_one_150.html

Delete all conection profiles and start over with a new connection.

Sorry for the total n00b question but.........

Acer Aspire One 150 - Bp ZG5 Windows XP
This came with Atheros v7.6.0.224 installed
Now I have Atheros v7.6.0.260 installed, I think the driver was updated through an MS update, not sure though. I know I didn't download a ZIP and do it myself.

I have downloaded the Atheros v7.6.0.264 ZIP but now I am lost.
Do I need to un-zip then put the contents somewhere then go to 'Network Adapter Properties' and select 'Update Driver' ?
Do I just un-zip and double click 'SilentInstall' ?
Have I totally missed the obvious ?

Could someone please guide me through the steps :)

All the best, woz of oz
