My wifi is playing up. Very frequently it will drop the connection and I have to disable it and re-enable it in Network Connections.

Any way to fix this problem?

Update your bios if you haven't to 3309:

Go to the windows folder, on the download, and run insydeflash.exe

Also make sure you never block the vent holes underneath the PC as the WiFi seems to be the first thing that shuts down when the PC overheats.

My brain is overheated! Although updating the bios is a good idea it's not the fix for WiFi.

Download this driver and follow the instructions

Don't forget to change the power save setting for it also.

By defalt the power save is at maximum when on battery equaling low signal strength.

    Hello everybody,

I have the same problem on my Aspire One and the driver from Microsoft. I had to use the acer driver for wireless.

My bios rev is 3309, my OS is Windows Vista SP1 with all updates installed, 1gb of DDR2-533 added before windows setup.

I've made my setup with driver from Windows Update ( 7.6.1.204 ), i've noticed a few problems on the wifi like this one : still connected but can't go anywhere until until i'm disconnect and reconnect on wifi.

Now i'm using this revision of this driver ( 7.6.0.264 ), no more troubles like those i've reported before.

It worked for me. Maybe for u too. (I Hope)

    See You. Joe
