when I scan from x86tools, it shows that I have a broadcom 4312 wireless card, but leopard does not see it anywhere. What can I do to fix this, I have a aaod250. I have osx version 10.5.8 installed.

I'm having a similar issue. I just reinstalled using iAtkos 5i to 10.5.5. I've got a Dell 1490 wifi card installed, and after the first installation it worked great. Unfortunately, after I rebooted it ceased working. When I go into System Preferences the Airport card is show as being "off".

When I run OSx86 Tools and scan the hardware it properly detected the Broadcom BCM4312 (Dell 1490) but still System Prefs sees it as being "off". I've done a ton of searching on this site and on InsanelyMac.com and I'm still stumped. Can anyone help? I really don't want to have to resort to using my Netgear USB dongle again.

    Thanks!

Not sure what's up with yours. I also used the 1490 in my AOA 150 but I am using Snow Leopard. It recognized right off the bat and all has been well. Why not upgrade to Snow Leopard?
