    Hi all

After a good few months of pleasurable use my Acer 150 appears to have died. I was browsing the net using FF and the whole thing froze. So I switched off by holding down the power button. Now when I boot up I just get the blue screen with 'Acer Aspire' at the bottom right hand side but the desktop doesn't display.

Is there anything I can do or is it goosed?

    Cheers

Edit: Forgot to add, I was running the standard Linpus OS.

Edit2: It appears to be back now.

I am glad to hear that things have resolved themselves for you. I recently had a problem with my Limpus OS AA1 failing to boot and just stopping at a black screen that I was able to recover by using the emergency BIOS reflash that macles noted on his blog at http://macles.blogspot.com/2008/08/acer-aspire-one-bios-recovery.html. Nothing else would work and I was on the verge of reinstalling from the restore date, when I found this and it fixed the problem entirely. It took me hours to find a reference to this resource so I am adding it to this thread.
