So, long story short, I managed to screw up my computer, and I now try to reinstall Linpus, however, when I get to the bios screen and press F2 (also tried F12, same result) The PC says "please wait" and continues doing so, without any sign of progressing nor an error message. I'm wondering if there's anything I can do or if I'm screwed.

Can you boot off a live USB stick?

    Try another USB port.

Shut down the pc by pressing the power button for more than 4 seconds

Try booting with an external usb drive

When using an usb stick. Use a small one formatted as fat, not fat32., not more than 2 gb.

I might be that the bios recovery prosess has been activated by you. Pressing certain key combinations activates this.

I think that there is an secret hot key ALT + F10 that maybe could help.

    Just some tips..

Regarding the keys that trigger the bios recovery.

The keys are Fn + Esc while booting.

You could perhaps try pressing F12 at boot and see if that gives you an boot alternatives menu, or F2 to get the bios screen

Or you could perform an power reset.

    1. Remove the battery and unplug the Ac adaptor
2.Hold the power button down for 30 seconds
    3. Reinsert the battery
    4. Plug in Ac adaptor
    5. Press power button and hopefully everything is ok

Try this and if it is not powering up i'll post info about the recovery prosess... (Bit dangerous)
