Won't resume from hibernate

    Hey all,

    My lappy worked fine when new, it would hibernate or standby and resume with no problems. I installed the 'A1ctl' program, and used it for awhile. But recently, it refuses to properly resume from hibernation. It enters hibernation properly, everything seems good, but it does a cold-bootup each time with no error message, as if it had lost the hibernation data.

    I uninstalled the a1ctl program, and un-patched the file it patches.

    I recently also tried windows 7 on it, I had it up and running for awhile, then went through a lengthy uninstall procedure to get rid of it. I have a feeling this may be what really killed my hibernation resumes.

    How to troubleshoot, without fully re-installing xp?
