Wrong ip adress retrived.

    MY acer aspire is retrieving the wrong ip-address when connecting to my wifi. I have a modem and a router. The only way to get the aspire online is to connect the modem into another slot in the router. The only problem is that every other pc in the house then loses their connection. The aspire retrieves the ip of the router and not the modem like all the other computers on the house. Any tips?

    disable the dhcp server on the router and restart everything solved it
