Afternoon A1Users, this is my first post here but I'm glad I found this forum. I'm going to give a few things I've read on here a go to try and tweak the A1.

I'm very new to any of the Linux operating systems and I'm looking for a bit of guidance with my girlfriends A1 netbook.

I've launched the "xfce4-panel -a" to add new panel items. The problem I'm having is when I come to insert a separator into the panel, there is a "box" (so to speak) around the separator which doesnt match the same colour as the panel background itself so it stands out like a sore thumb. This "box" also covers the top of the panel where there is a long horizontal black line. I'm sorry if that bit didnt make any sense what-so-ever, but I cant even think how to explain it any better!

I've tried going into the ".config/xfce4/panel" and looking in the separator.rc (? I dont have the A1 with me right now so thats a guess at the file extention) and tried taking a stab adding a line of code saying "height="2"" to see if that worked, but even after a reboot this didnt work so I removed that bit and still stuck on square one.

I know screenshots would probably help a bit more but I dont have access to this A1 right now as it's at my girlferiends house.

Its not that bigger deal but I would like to get it sorted, mainly for my own experience, as I'm getting quite into this Linux stuff :) even though I'm not that good with it yet!

    Any help is really appreciated,

    Thanks :)

*Edit* The version of Linux is Linpus.
