XFCE Splash Screen Settings

    Is there a way to enable the XFCE splash Screen Manager? If I try to run it from XFCE desktop I receive the following error

    Xfce Settings Manager error:
    No such plugin "splash"

    Sorry to revive an old thread however I have the same problem. Any ideas?
