xfdesktop 2 error????

    im new to this forum and to linux
    so sorry if i have posted this topic in the wrong section
    but here is my problem
    i was on add/remove program and i clicked for 8th kingdom to be installed and for firefox 2 to be uninstalled due to i put firefox 3 on.
    but as it was installing my whole desktop dissapered
    and everytime i now press home it says.....

    could not run command: xfdesktop2 --gohome:
    failed to execute child process "xfdesktop2"
    (no such file in directory)

    i am away at momment and i dont have system recovery disk and i dont have a usb stick or a external cd-writer on me or own one at all!

    so could anyone help me

    i cant even get terminal up or anything all i can see is search bar at top and the bar at bottom

    Try this: Do a search for "Terminal" in the search bar and select the Desktop search. Click the find button to get the list of matches, then look towards the bottom of the list and you should see Terminal in /usr/bin. Right click on it and select open to open a terminal.

    thanks i got that up now what command should i type any ideas?
