XP could not start because files corrupted or missing

    Hi,

    how could i repair my Acer Aspire one, suddenly when i start my AA1, i get this error,

    i'am just a newbie and i know nothing about hardaware repair

    Windows XP could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

    You can try run/boot installation CD and use Recovery console. This should help recover missing file.

    But aspire one has no CD ROM.. could i use external CD ROM for this to load the installation CD?
