I'm getting my Aspire One later. Getting the XP Home version with 120gig drive.
I see a lot of posts about the Linux version going to XP Home, but didnt find a post of a XP version going to linux or dual boot.

    Any advice?

Just like you, I have an XP model on order (my wife wants a unit with plenty of room, the 8gig ssd just would not do for her).

I found a post here that might be helpful. http://www.dailycupoftech.com/2008/09/02/diy-acer-aspire-one-recovery-usb-device/. Hopefully I will be in a better position to comment on this in a couple of weeks.

Plus there seems to plenty of guides on line on how to install everything from A to Z:

In addition to google, youtube is also a good source of information.

    Thanks for the info.

I'll play with the system this weekend. My first step is going to be make sure I back up the drive before I mess with Ubuntu.
