I am trying to get the 3g to work on xp pro.. I have tried all the drivers on the acer web site. On the standard load it has 2 items under "ports" in device manager. I can only get 1 item to show under xp pro. WHen i load up the acer connection manager it says it cant find any hardware..

Have you tried manufacturer drivers?? I would say there is a driver issue... Can not be hardware as modem works on one system so it can be only driver...

Check Acer's european website for additional drivers needed for the Qualcom modem.

I justed use the Sierra Wireless modem, less headaches.

I understand. I believe it is a driver issue.. Why change the card out if it is free? If i can get it to work in pro for free..
