I am trying to install XP on my ssd drive. Everything goes well until I try to format the drive to FAT32 for install. It refuses to format the drive claiming a lack of memory or a corrupted file on my install CD. What is going on? ( I am using the USB key install)

I installed that XP on a virtual machine fine, so it isn't corrupted. I also suspect it's because the One seems to have 2 primary partitions. I have installed the Ultimate Boot CD on a USB key and I'd like to use it to merge the partitions and format the resulting partition to FAT 32 - which softwares from the UBCD should I use?
