I used my legit XP CD with a USB drive to install windows on my Aspire One, upgraded to SP3, but whenever I try to update windows media player to version 11 it doesn't install it. I know I did a few of the optimizing tricks posted here [and Windows runs SOOO much faster now] but nothing that should cause this, anyone know what could be the reason?

Also, when I insert a SD card into the memory expansion slot it acts as if its a regular SD card and doesn't integrate it into my avaliable space. Any solutions for this?

Thanks for anyhelp you can give, you all really know your stuff!

Are you receiving any error messages when trying to install?

It doesn't work that way with XP, the storage expansion is for Linplus.

The update logo in the bottom corner pops up telling me there is a update and its ready to install, I click it and the status bar zooms from right to left in one second and the next screen is windows listing the file on a list as uninstalled, no error message or anything. : /
