Xscreensaver Daemon

    I have an Aspire One and I am trying to get Xscreensaver to work. Whenever I start the machine the screensaver doesn't run and when I start the screensaver desktop configuration file it states "The XScreenSaver daemon doesn't seem to be running on display ":0.0". Launch it now?" If I click OK it works until the next reboot.

    I have searched the forum and cannot find the answer.

    Can anyone help?
