My ZG5 unit shows two processors when in WinXP task manager performance page. I can't find any reference in the specs that the CPU is dual core.

    HT?

I checked the Device Manager>Processor and it's showing 2 N270 cpus. When opening the Computer item, it says ACPI Multiprocessor PC".

Not possible to be multi CPUs as only the Atom 300 series are multicore from what I understand. I'm wondering if some software I loaded added a multi cpu simulator or something.

Ah, OK. A little misleading to report that there are two cpus.

There are 2 virtual cores. So no it is not misleading. Would you rather it didn't have HT?

    Can you guys just search?

Seriously, either search, or read specs more carefully. Googling "Intel Atom" gives some specs on it, and somewhere I have read that it has Hyper-Threading.

This forum is meant to be HELP for others. Making mess by asking the same question hundreds of times does not make this forum clear as it suppose to be. EOT.

Dont think that is a very helpful response to a genuine question!.

I'm curious if anyone has enabled the 2nd virtual core in the boot.ini located in msconfig? Has it made a difference in XP boot time?

You know, one of the biggest rules here require you to search before you ask.
