Hi friends

A friend of mine has an Acer Aspire Lite 15 AL15-33P that misses its charger. According to the type label it should be 19 V/2.7 A. Finding a direct replacement charger seems to be difficult to me.
- Is it a problem when the replacement charger has 19.5 V (or 20 V) instead of 19 V (at a higher current rating than the 2.7 A)?
- Which size barrel connector is required?

Thanks for any helpful hints!
Cheers
Robert

Hi, There is some tolerance on voltage and a replacement charger rated at 19.5V will be within the tolerance. A 65W adapter can give about 3.3 A which is again fine as the Laptop will only draw 2.7 A or what it needs. More tricky is the plug size. That model seems to have a couple of options: 3mm x 1.1mm and 3.5mm x 1.35mm OD and ID Respectively. If you don't have the original adapter to measure the plug, probably your best bet is to try the Acer Support with the serial number to confirm. Pete

Thanks, Pete. The voltage question was already answered in a different forum, they said the same that you say. I tested it with 19.5 V without any problems. Re the barrel plug, I had a lot of different plug adapters to select from, and the 3 mm one nicely fits the model in question. Problem solved!
